I have started working on barbed wire sections for my Sturmkompanie. I will be making extra sections for use in our Normandy Campaign. Here is what I have done so far.
I still need to add texture to the base and paint it, but I am pleased with the results so far. Each of the two coils of wire is made up of two 42" pieces of 28 gauge wire wrapped around each other using a drill to spin them, then wrapped around a permanent marker and stretched to fit over the crosses, which are each made of two 3/4" long pieces of L shaped plastic. The base is a 2" by 8" piece of MDF.
