Here is a barrel I made as an attachment for my anti-tank pillbox to make it into a Graf Spee Naval Gun Battery. It is 1" of 3/8" tubing and 1" of 1/4" tubing glued together and cut at an angle to make the barrel slant upward. Obviously it needs to be painted.
